Grey Market
The legitimate sale of genuine watches through channels that are not authorised by the manufacturer.

Definition
The legitimate sale of genuine watches through channels that are not authorised by the manufacturer. The grey market is legitimate trade in genuine goods through channels outside a manufacturer's authorised distribution network. A grey-market watch is not inherently counterfeit, stolen or used, but warranty and after-sales arrangements may differ from authorised retail.
Why it matters
The selling channel affects warranty, consumer protection, pricing and who stands behind the transaction. 'Grey Market' should therefore be identified separately from the watch's physical condition.
