Grey Dealer
A buying, selling or valuation term used in the watch market: Grey Dealer.

Definition
A buying, selling or valuation term used in the watch market: Grey Dealer. A grey dealer is an independent seller operating outside the manufacturer's authorised retail network, often trading unworn or pre-owned watches. Reputation, authentication, return rights and warranty provision therefore need independent assessment.
Why it matters
The selling channel affects warranty, consumer protection, pricing and who stands behind the transaction. 'Grey Dealer' should therefore be identified separately from the watch's physical condition.
